The Character Creation Systems of 7th Dragon III Code: VFD

New information about 7th Dragon III Code: VFD has emerged from SEGA headquarters, this time detailing the systems players will use to craft their ideal party.

In a system similar to other dungeon-crawling RPG’s, you will be able to custom build your characters from scratch using a mix of character classes, appearances and voice options. To be more specific, you will be able to craft balanced team of nine characters from eight different classes, 96 appearance variations and 40 distinct voice options.

The character classes on offer are:

  • Samurai – The class that loves swords, blades, and anything with a sharp edge.
  • Agent – The class that shoots and hacks with extreme prejudice.
  • God Hand – The class that heals allies and bruises enemies with nasty hooks and uppercuts.
  • Duelist – The class that uses magical cards to summon supernatural beings into battle.
  • Rune Knight – The class that deals devastating damage with magical short swords.
  • Fortuner – The class that can cast useful debuff effects.
  • Mage – The class that can unleash the full power of mana.
  • Banisher – The class that likes to smash.

There are no restrictions on what classes you use to make up your party. It is possible to have eight heavy fighters with a single God Hand to heal them, or even a team full of deadly magic casters.

SEGA have also announced that 7th Dragon III Code: VFD will be available on store shelves in North America starting July 11 2016, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.
