Localised into English, Square Enix have today released the trailer for Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness which originally debuted during Jump Festa in Japan. The trailer provides gamers with their first peek at the RPG’s English voice cast, and also features its theme song “Astra Nova” by Japanese rock band Androp.
Taking place sometime before the events of Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time, Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness features a new group of characters, a brand new plot and a number of gameplay changes/additions. This trailer in particular foreshadows an unknown menace headed for the underdeveloped planet of Faykreed, where Fidel Camuze, his childhood friend Miki Sauvester, and a mysterious young girl named Relia, who holds the key to the story, get drawn into a battle that may change the fate of the planet.
While Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness is set to be released in Japan later this month, Square Enix have not refined their 2016 launch window to this date. The game will only be available on the PlayStation 4 in North American and PAL markets.
