New Trailer Released for Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below

Presenting their first look at the hack and slash action-RPG in quite some time, Square Enix have shared a new trailer for Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below.

This video seeks to provide players with a deeper look at the game’s cast and world – which comparable to ‘Hyrule Warriors’ amalgamates different instalments in the Dragon Quest warriors into one title.

Players will be able to choose twelve Dragon Quest characters to use in Dragon Quest Heroes, each utilizing their own unique abilities and different attack styles. Kiryl (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen) for example is able to use his lance to attack enemies from a wider range, while Nera (Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride) is able to use her magic bubbles to blast monsters away.

Other playable characters include Luceus (Dragon Quest Heroes), Aurora (Dragon Quest Heroes), Doric (Dragon Quest Heroes), Isla (Dragon Quest Heroes), Healix (Dragon Quest Heroes), Maya (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen), Alena (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen), Bianca (Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride), Jessica (Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King) and Yangus (Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King).

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below has been developed by Omega Force, and wil be released on the PlayStation 4 internationally beginning October 13 2015.

Dragon Quest Heroes – Storyline

A dark cloud has fallen over the city of Arba, driving the once peaceful monsters into a frenzied rage. As either the hero, Luceus, or the heroine, Aurora, the player joins forces with an iconic cast from previousDRAGON QUEST titles to bring the rampaging hordes of monsters to their senses and restore order to the kingdom.
