A few days ago, Inti Creates made a post on their English-language social media questions asking fans if they would like to see Gal*Gun localised at some point in the future. This question came as the company released Gal*Gun: Double Peace (or Gal*Gun 2) in Japan on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
It came as quite a shock to me at the time, given that the Gal*Gun rail shooter games have been filled with quite a lot of fanservice, and could possibly be a hard sell in the Western market. This is not to imply that the game’s are bad, with the original Gal*Gun receiving a respectable B- grade in my December 2013 review of it.
In an announcement made on the official Inti Creates English blog, the company have confirmed that they are planning to bring Gal*Gun: Double Peace to the rest of the world – and are “really, really psyched about making this happen”. At the moment they are at the beginning stages of this campaign, which means they are currently looking for a publisher. Although this could potentially change once they find a publisher and the campaign moves forward – they are currently planning to release the game on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.
Keep an eye out for more news on Gal*Gun: Double Peace in the coming months.
Wish them best of luck on their endeavors, cause there gonna need it!
