NIS America Share Opening Sequence, New Screenshots for Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls

-

Following their successes with both Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye despair in 2014, Nippon Ichi Software America are now working on bringing its action-adventure spin-off game Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls to Western markets. With the game still a couple of months away from its official launch on the PlayStation Vita, NIS America have opted to share an opening sequence (with the traditional Danganronpa theme) and new screenshots for the game.

In this new batch of screenshots, gamers are introduced to the Warriors of Hope – a group of five children (Masaru Daimon, Kotoko Utsugi, Jataro Kemuri, Monaca and Nagisa Shingetsu) who are killing the adults who reside in Towa City in order to create a utopia for children. They are presumably the main antagonists for this game.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is set for release in North America beginning September 1, with a PAL region set to closely follow on September 4.

Official Synopsis for Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls

Komaru Naegi, little sister to Makoto Naegi, has been imprisoned inside a mysterious apartment for over a year. One day, she is rescued by Byakuya Togami of Future Foundation, but the rescue is derailed by a sudden attack of hundreds of Monokumas. Komaru soon discovers that the city has been taken over by a group of children calling themselves the Warriors of Hope. Their leader, Monaca, declares that the city will be the site of a Children’s Paradise, and to accomplish this, all the adults will be exterminated. Komaru teams up with Toko Fukawa to try to survive the rampaging Monokumas, escape the crafty Monokuma Kids, and uncover the secrets of the city.
