ATLUS USA Acquire Rights to Dungeon Crawling RPG: Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal

-

ATLUS USA have continued with a tradition they started with Conception II and acquired the rights to AquaPlus’ hardcore dungeon-crawling RPG: Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal, with no plans to release the original instalment.

Featuring a completely standalone storyline, Dungeon Travelers 2 sees you take control of an adventurer from the Royal Library named Fred. With the kingdom of Romulea in peril and with monsters leaking out of every nook and cranny in the land and subsequently started an uprising against humanity, it is your job to put a stop to them. But early in his journey, Freid discovers a broken shrine along the way. This sets in motion the story of Dungeon Travelers 2, where he travels around the kingdom of Romulea, and through rescuing, defeating, or bumping into any of the 16 unique girls that can join his party, Fried undertakes his mission to save the world.

True to what you would expect from a standard dungeon-crawling RPG, Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal involves first-person perspective dungeon navigation, with a turn based battle system. The game also features a class and party management system which they claim “unlocks tons of play styles”.

Dungeon Travelers 2 is set for release on the PlayStation Vita later this year via retail and digital formats. A tentative Summer 2015 release date has currently been locked in.
