While not a particularly long trailer, coming in at just over one minute in length, ATLUS USA have released a brand new English localized trailer for the upcoming JRPG Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker on the Nintendo 3DS.
Rather than focusing on a new game mechanic introduced into this enhanced Nintendo 3DS port, ATLUS USA have opted to promote character relationships and promotions. When your protagonist is not out summoning and slaying the demons which have invaded Japan, he has the opportunity to increase his “Fate Levels” with each of his summoner compatriots. Increasing a party members Fate Level gives them a range of perks – from new summonable demons to elemental resistances.
The publisher has also shared a handful of English localized screenshots, which can be found at the bottom of this post.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker is set for release in North America on May 5th 2015 as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive JRPG. This edition is an enhanced port of the original Nintendo DS edition, featuring a fully voiced storyline, a completely new chapter, new animations, StreetPass / SpotPass functionality and more. No PAL region release has been confirmed as of posting, although I would expect either Nippon Ichi Software America or Ghostlight to confirm their distribution plans soon.
