After announcing that they would be bringing the game to North America several months ago, ATLUS USA have today confirmed that Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker (Aka. Devil Survivor 2 Break Record) will be available for purchase starting May 5th. This Nintendo 3DS exclusive title is an enhanced port of ATLUS’ original Nintendo DS edition; featuring full English voice acting, a brand new chapter, StreetPass/SpotPass functionality (Which hints that they may be bringing the Japanese DuRaRaRa!! SpotPass content to international markets) and more.
Alongside this release date announcement, ATLUS USA also shared their first official English dubbed trailer for the JRPG, giving gamers a look at the new cutscene animations, English voice-overs and small snippets of storyline. No gameplay is previewed in the video, however the gameplay doesn’t seem to have received a major overhaul like other elements of Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker.
Unfortunately no publisher has come forward with any plans on releasing Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker in PAL regions. However the safest bet would be to assume that either Ghostlight or Nippon Ichi Software America will eventually pick up the rights to it.
