Boasting numbers which aren’t to shabby considering how the online game first started many years ago, Square Enix have just announced that they have passed the 4 Million Subscriber mark for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn globally. This count doesn’t include trial accounts, however does seem to include both active and inactive accounts which have been paid for at some point.

To mark this milestone, Square Enix have decided to hold a free login campaign for all players who have previously purchased and registered their copy of Final Fantasy XIV and still have their account in good standing. From later on today until March 9th 2015 at 12AM PST,  adventurers will once again be able to resume their adventures in Eorzea at no additional charge.

This may be a good chance for players to check out the new Manderville Gold Saucer introduced in Patch 2.51, based on the original one from Final Fantasy VII.
