Bandai Namco Announce “The Idolm@ster: Cinderella Girls- Gravure For You” Line of Games

-

set1Back in the day when The Idolm@ster 2 had just been released on the PlayStation 3 and the TV anime based on the game was beginning distribution in Japan, Bandai Namco offered sets which included one volume of the TV anime and a bonus The Idolm@ster 2: Gravure For You (G4U) game. Unlike the main video game series which focused on idol raising and performances, each of the Gravure For You volumes were photography games which involved you taking photos of 765 Production idols (and in select games, 876 Production idols) in settings and costumes that the set was themed after. For example, G4U Vol. 1 featured a seaside locale and swimsuits for each character.

With the Cinderella Girls anime adaptation underway and the main girls from it all making guest appearances in The Idolm@ster: One For All, Bandai Namco have confirmed they will be doing a similar set of releases with each volume of the TV anime. The first set containing the game and the first two episodes (Who is in the pumpking carriage? / I never seen such a beautiful castle) will be available on April 23rd 2015 at 8,980 yen, with other limited edition and standard sets coming in at a reduced price without Gravure For You.

Gravure For You Volume One (アイドルマスター シンデレラガールズ G4U! Vol.1) is set to feature nine idols in total: Anzu Futaba, Chieri Ogata, Rin Shibuya, Uzuki Shimamura, Mio Honda, Rika Jougasaki, Mika Jougasaki, Ranko Kanzaki and Anastasia. This is in addition to at least three costumes (Anime Opening costume, School Uniform and a School Swimsuit) and a handful of locales and songs to complement them. It is currently unknown if they plan to keep the same nine characters across all future Gravure For You games or move them in/out per instalment.
