Those living in countries fortunate enough to take advantage of the PlayStation Now service have had to individually rent their games, at an expense that some have considered higher than expected. Sony Computer Entertainment have decided to make the service more open to everyone by confirming that, beginning January 13th, it will be possible to sign up for a PlayStation Now subscription. Separate to the PlayStation Plus service, this will give players instant and unlimited access to a catalogue of over 100 PlayStation 3 games.
There are currently two confirmed subscription options: one month for $19.99 or a three month package for $44.99 which equates to about $15 per month. Currently this model will only be available on the PlayStation 4 for those living in North America, and will later expand onto other PlayStation Now compatible devices.
A seven day trial will be open to all when the service launches next week.
