While I think this should be considered more of a console-exclusive preview than an “Open Beta”, 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have today kicked-off their Xbox One Open Beta for Evolve. Taking place between now and January 19th at 11:00PM ET, the test will give players one last chance to try their hand at the competitive action first-person shooter prior to its February 10th launch.
Players taking part in this test can experience Evolve’s core “Hunt” mode, with any unlockable monsters and hunters earned transitioning over to the final retail and digital releases of the game. Starting on January 17th at 3:00PM, access will also be granted to “Evacuation”, Evolve’s dynamic campaign that combines the full array of maps and modes into one structured experience… or as structured as an experience can be with over 800,000 possible combinations of modes, maps and campaign effects.
Evolve will be released on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles from February 10th 2015. Playing on either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership respectively.
