Wrapping up their development releases for 2014, Cloud Imperium Games have announced that the Arena Commander mode in Star Citizen has been updated to Version 1.0. While it is nowhere near the final product, this update brings a number of new features to the dogfighting module including the addition of a lobby system, triple the number of flyable ships (Every variant of the Aurora, Mustang, 300 and Hornet are now flyable) and numerous other ship and gameplay oriented improvements among other additions/features.
While it may not be much for someone like myself who is currently relying on a Trainer ship for Arena Commander (As the Freelancer DUR remains in development), this should offer a variety of new opportunities for players to gain a peek of what Star Citizen will be like upon official release in 2015/2016.
