If there has been one single game that has managed to successfully survive through an entire generation of video game consoles, it would be the PlayStation 3’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. While it is surprising that Konami didn’t decide to take this option sooner, they have announced the game is now available for purchase digitally via international PlayStation Store’s.
Originally released in 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a battle-scarred future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using mercenaries. This financed battlefield is seen through the battle-weary eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East and South America. Metal Gear Solid 4 has managed to remain one of the must-play PS3 games for its enticing stealth-oriented action, a storyline that whilst serious provides comical and nostalgia-inducing dialogue and visuals that remained unparalleled for many years.
