With the Destiny beta test drawing in over 4.6 million unique players last month, Activision and Bungie should justifiably have high expectations for the game. Hoping to showcase some of the new experiences available in the game’s online multiplayer modes when it launches in less than a month, Bungie took the stage during Sony’s Gamescom 2014 press conference and presented the above trailer to watching audiences.
The trailer debuted new competitive multiplayer arenas that span the solar system. As you engage in combat, victory will earn you special armour, weapons, and gear that you can take with you into every single mode of play.
Destiny is set for worldwide launch on September 9th, 2014. While Bungie have almost exclusively worked with Microsoft platforms since Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001, Destiny will not only be available on the Xbox360 and Xbox One but also PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gaming systems.
