While its value at this moment will be dependant on how many Electronic Arts titles you haven’t bought on the Xbox One, EA have today announced the official launch of the EA Access subscription service across Australia and New Zealand.
For $6.99 a month (or $39.99 for a full year), members have the ability to download and play selected Xbox One games via The Vault. Games currently in the vault include Battlefield 4, FIFA’14, Madden NFL 25 and Peggle 2. The aim is to have The Vault evolve over time, with additional games being added. Also included in the subscription is the ability to try new EA titles five days before release date – with supporting upcoming games including Madden NFL 15, FIFA 15, NHL 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. These 5-day headstarts will only be trial versions, however progress will be saved and will be transferable should you decide to buy the full game.
Digital purchases of EA games for Xbox One, downloadable content and virtual currency made available on Xbox Live will be 10% off for EA Access members. So if you liked what you played during your early trial, you can purchase the game for your collection at a 10% discount as soon as it’s released. Digital content will also be 10% off the retail price.
