20 Minute Uncut Walkthrough Video Released for The Sims 4

-

Most of the promotional videos for The Sims 4 previously have been short in length, focusing on a particular aspect of the game such as Build Mode or Create-a-Sim. For the first time, Electronic Arts and Maxis have decided to scrap that approach by releasing 20 minutes of uncut gameplay footage for the game. While obviously still focusing on aspects that they want to show off, they hope that this will provide gamers with an idea of what to expect when The Sims 4 launches on the PC and Mac devices from September 4th, 2014.

Some of the aspects and changes featured in the video include:

  • Improved intergration with the online community, allowing you to download Sims, Lots and Rooms in-game, which can then be placed down on your lot. In the case of buildings, they can be placed on-top of your current lot to replace them entirely.
  • No longer does there seem to be an open world, instead breaking it down into several smaller areas. Seems to be a middle ground between The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.
  • An improved party system, allowing you to assign Sims certain roles from Host and Bartender to simply being guests.
  • Assuming that they are playing a proper representation of the final product / worlds, the community lots seem much busier and realistic than previous games.
  • User Interface seems to be much easier to use.
  • Plenty of cupcakes designs to bake!
  • New death type: Hysteria!
