Microsoft to Offer Kinect-less Xbox One Model From Next Month 1

While it may have come with a new and improved Kinect model at launch, the Xbox One was priced higher than the PlayStation 4 when both consoles launched in November 2013 and could in some way have had an impact on the sales numbers. With the PlayStation 4 purportedly charging ahead in terms of sales, Microsoft have decided to announce what I consider a smart move by giving the Xbox One a dominant edge in terms of pricing and releasing a new console pack without the Kinect 2.0 bundled with it.

This new edition will be available in all current markets from June 9th, 2014 and will be priced at $399 USD in the United States, $499 AUD in Australia and other comparable prices in other regions. Those who buy this pack will be able to pick up a standalone Kinect 2.0 sensor when it is released later on in the year.
