Gameplay Features Highlighted in Three New Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Videos

F.O.E Trailer

Thursday next week, gamers in Japan will be able to head down to their local video game store and pick up a copy of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, the first of several “in-development” spin-off titles based around Persona 3 and 4 announced last year. While retaining the sort of dungeon crawling meets socializing elements that the original games have, Persona Q is based on the gameplay mechanics presented by the Etrian Odyssey franchise – meaning parties of five characters, first-person dungeon crawling and more.

In what could be the last pre-launch set of trailers released by ATLUS, we get a look at three different elements of the game: F.O.E’s which are the powerful creatures the wander around the labyrinths, map drawing (which can be set to “Auto-Map”) to give some responsibility for the labyrinth maps to the player and finally a snippet of what players can expect to do when they have an opportunity to stroll around the school.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is set for release on the 5th June 2014 within Japan exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS, with ATLUS USA also confirming a later North American release, and (hopefully) a swift PAL region release.
