Following its release in North America a couple of days ago by Square Enix, Bandai Namco Games Australia have confirmed that Drakengard 3 is now available for purchase in both Australia and New Zealand exclusively on the PlayStation 3. Like all other PAL regions, this game will only be available via the PlayStation Store with no plans for any form of retail release.
A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as “Intoners” have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song. Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.
Bewarned.. the game’s story/dialogs are pretty messed up. The graphics are laggy when enemies are clustered, and are also quite poor despite the fact that it is built using Unreal Engine.
