XSEED Games Launches Ragnarok Odyssey Ace on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita

-

North American publisher XSEED Games have today launched Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, the enhanced edition of 2012 Vita-exclusive game Ragnarok Odyssey, on the PlayStation Vita and (for the first time) the PlayStation 3. While containing the same base game, this edition comes with a selection of new content including cross-platform play, the randomly generating dungeon “Tower of Yggdrasil” and the new ACE Skill system, an arsenal of powerful new moves that can be unlocked when enemies drop the “Proof of Expertise” item.

One of the issues with the original game was that if you were playing by yourself, you entered the field alone. Instead of encouraging people to go into the games online co-op system, this time around they are offering a dozen elite AI mercenaries, two of which can join you in the field at any time.

Both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita units are priced at $39.99 at retail, while all first-print units of the Vita edition will also contain a bonus soundtrack CD with 25-tracks from the game. While the PlayStation 3 digital release is priced the same as the physical edition, digitally purchasing the Vita edition will save you an extra $5.
