While they seem to be the only company now regularly highlighting the sales stats of their now “current generation” video game console, Sony Computer Entertainment have announced that their PlayStation 4 entertainment system has cumulatively surpassed 7.0 million units in sale globally as of April 6th, 2014. Currently the console is available in 72 countries and regions worldwide.
These sales are further enhanced by 20.5 million units of software sold through retail and digital outlets as of last Sunday, with a grand total of 120 titles planned to be available for sale by the end of this year.
