One Piece: Unlimited World Red to Have All-New Content in International Release

While One Piece: Unlimited World Red was a Nintendo 3DS exclusive title when first released in Japan last year, Bandai Namco are being more ambitious with their release schedule and publishing the game on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Wii U consoles later this year.

In organizing this console jump, the publisher is bringing all-new content to the release in addition to Luffy and his crew being depicted in higher quality visuals. This new content comes in the form of an all-new Coliseum Mode, which will closely resemble the latest episodes of One Piece by bringing “heart-pounding action and glory to the ring as pirates fight relentlessly to earn top rankings“.

Witness the strongest pirate alliance as Straw Hat Luffy and Trafalgar Law, a member of the Royal Seven Warlords of the Sea, team up to challenge the diabolical Donquixote Doflamingo, who will be joining the battle for the first time. Law will also be featured as a new playable character in Coliseum Mode only.

It is unknown if the “enhanced” content will be limited to the PS3 / PS Vita / Wii U release or if the Nintendo 3DS as the original console will also receive the content.
