With little more than a month to go until Mario Kart 8 hits the Wii U, Nintendo Australia have just announced that they will be offering a brand new Mario Kart 8 Premium Pack bundle for the console that is set to hit store shelves on May 31st, 2014 at a price of $429.95 AUD. Going from the current price listing on EB Games Australia this is only a $1.95 more expensive than the Premium Console bundle alone.
In the box (Pictured above) will be a Black Wii U Premium console, a black Wii U GamePad, SensorBar and a copy of Mario Kart 8, the target market being those who have held off purchasing the console but evidently enticed by the reappearance of the well received Mario Kart franchise on the console. There won’t be any special features in the bundle per se, however it contains everything you need in the box to take it home from the store, hook it up to the television and play.
Do you have a particular fondness of racing as either Peach or Yoshi? On May 31st the company is also offering two new Wii Remote Plus models based on the Super Mario Bros. franchise characters at an SRP of $69.95 AUD each. Decked out in all pink with signature flashes of blue and yellow, the Wii Remote Plus Peach features a white crown on the front of the controller. Meanwhile, the Wii Remote Plus Yoshi controller comes complete in a green and white shell, with an iconic Yoshi egg adorning its front.
