While I have yet to receive any formal announcement or details on the release which is possibly due to the long weekend, it turns out that there should be an international release for Tales of Hearts R on the PlayStation Vita heading our way later this year in English.
This announcement was confirmed by a special message shared by Tales series producer Hideo Baba in the video above, with an estimated launch window of Winter 2014 (or Summer 2014 in the ANZ region). Tales of Hearts was originally released on the Nintendo DS during 2008, with this release marking the first time that the eleventh Tales game has been available outside of Japan.
Tales of Hearts R is the product of a trend initiated by Namco Bandai between the ninth (Tales of Innocence) and twelfth (Tales of Graces) Tales games where it would be released on another console before being ported over as a definitive edition to a PlayStation console. The ports for Tales of Innocence and Tales of Vesperia have never been made available internationally.
