Earlier this year MonkeyPaw Games held their Retro Rush event, where they were set to release six Japanese PlayStation 1 Classics via the PlayStation Store. By the end of the event in mid-February only five of those titles were released with the sixth, Hyper Crazy Climber, due to “outstanding issues“. The good news is that these issues seem to have been resolved, and the game is now available to download for $5.99 via the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable systems.

In Hyper Crazy Climber players climb (and climb some more) on a variety of buildings and structures. The goal of each level is simple: start from the bottom and make your way to the summit. You’ll need to watch out for falling rocks and other obstacles, otherwise reaching the top of the level will be impossible without precise timing.

They claim that one of the biggest features separating Hyper Crazy Climber from other Climbing games is the full-body control system. Each side of the controller is mapped to different limbs to make your crazy way around the obstacles. You’ll need muscle memory in your fingertips and a strong internal rhythm to grasp each hand and foot hold.
