KEMCO, a publisher of English-localized mobile games have announced their release of Shelterra the Skyworld for the Android platform. Available through the official Google Play store, this game will be priced at $3.99 for a limited time before reverting back to its standard price of $8.99.
While there are inevitably limits of what a mobile RPG can do, some of the promoted features include:
Summon Artifacts
An “Artifact” is a spirit that can be summoned in battle. Rely on these beasts to defeat a group of enemies is a single blow as well as to guard you from enemy attacks. Artifacts will move in battle automatically according to their assigned tactics, so change it up as you see fit to make full use of their potential!
Learn Skills
You can learn skills in the middle of battle. The most effective way to learn skills is to talk to informants in every town to get the inside scoop about which skills you can learn from enemies. The chances to learn a skill will increase with every normal attack, so you have to employ a dull strategy without using skills.
Enhanced Gameplay & Extra Content
Gain items to help you learn skills faster and useful accessories, as well as access to extra dungeons with in-game points. You can even experience the untold stories of Shelterra! In-game points can be purchased or acquired by defeating certain monsters. Look for them by fighting as many random encounters as you can.
Given I don’t usually cover mobile games I most probably won’t have a review out for Shelterra the Skyworld, however you can check it out for yourself via the Google Play store. The game will support Android OS’ 2.2 to 4.4, features both English and Japanese languages and will be supported by in-app purchases which are by no means required to finish the game.
Claude, a young boy who lives on the floating continent of Shelterra, finds out one day that his homeland is falling and may crash onto the surface. To avert this crisis, Shelterra needs to use the power of the spirits to remain afloat. For 10 years, Claude was in possession of one of these spirits, known as Ignis, in the form of a mysterious, talking stone. When he finds out, he joins Luna, the princess of the Orlok regime, which rules over the continent, and sets off on an adventure to save Shelterra!
