Electronic Arts Australia Announces Battlefield Film Challenge

-

Sick of video game contests being limited to North America?

Live in Australia or New Zealand and have some skills in film-making?

Electronic Arts Australia have today announced that for the next month they are seeking out fans of the Battlefield franchise to take part in the Battlefield Film Challenge, a shourt film competition that is exclusive to the ANZ region. Those looking to take part will be required to produce a two to five minute video inspired by any Battlefield game, making use of anything from live-action sequences to recorded gameplay footage. All entries will be judged by the team at DICE.

The five finalists will be flown to Sydney for a special screening event at the Bondi Pavilion on Friday 23rd May. Each video will be showcased to the public, followed by the winner announcement of the AU$10,000 grand prize. The five finalists will also be featured on the official EA Games YouTube site, EA Games ANZ and Battlefield ANZ Facebook pages with a combined audience of over 650,000. Perhaps this might be a way to make yourself known as the next big Machinima star?

We are really excited to bring the Battlefield Film Challenge to our Australia and New Zealand fans and think we are giving filmmaker’s a great platform to receive exposure for their creativity, talent and passion. Specifically, the Battlefield theme is quite broad, so we cannot wait to see how our game is incorporated in each of the entries.
