To mark their upcoming launch of Deception IV: Blood Ties on the PS3 / VitaPla, Tecmo Koei are asking gamers a relatively simple question…. “What’s Your Style of Evil“. Their upcoming torture-oriented action game is set to feature a plethora of devices to take down your enemies with, and to get a better idea of what goes with your personal preferences, the publisher has launched an interactive mini quest to determine your style of evil. The quiz can be access via HERE.
There will be more than 120 traps in the games final release from theme traps for each stage to “trapmobiles”, Iron Maidens, Falling Vases and more. As part of their pre-order campaign, depending on where you order your game from it may be possible to walk away with a new sadistic trap for use in-game. A few examples of retailers – rewards include GAME (Guillotine Lite), Amazon (UFO?) and the PlayStation Store (Queen’s Heel).
Deception IV: Blood Ties is a seuel to the classic 1996 video game Devil’s Deception, and is essentially a strategy focused trap action game. It follows the story of Laegrinna, an animated fragment of an imprisoned Devil’s soul, as she battles her enemies by mischievously luring them into strategically placed traps. Deception IV places the player on the side of evil, which, as the saying goes, comes in many forms. In Laegrinna’s case it comes in the form of the threeDaemons who assist her in her quest: Veruza, Caelea and Lilia. Each of them represents a different aspect of cruelty: Sadistic Torment, Elaborate Death and Humiliating Demise, and they reward points and upgrades every time Laegrinna chooses to use one of their traps to escape her rivals.
