GaijinWorks Leaves It Up to Fans to Decide if Class of Heroes 2G Receives a Physical Release

While it would have been more vital for the original PlayStation Portable edition of the game, GaijinWorks and MonkeyPaw Games have once again left it in the fans hands if their niche Japanese dungeon crawler Class of Heroes 2G receives a physical release on the PlayStation 3 or just a digital one.

For the next 30 days, a poll on the GaijinWorks website will give fans the chance to cast their vote to determine if the game deserves a physical release. 7000 gamers will need to pledge their support to make the Class of Heroes 2G physical release a reality. If the goal is achieved, a presale will commence with the game’s release shortly thereafter. The cost of the physical version is $39.99 + $4 for shipping ($10 for international). The package will entail a double-sided package cover insert, full color ink-scented manual, full color disk art and a serial numbered hologram attached to each game package.

This will be the only time a vote will be taken and only one production run of the physical game will ever be commissioned, which would make this one of the rarest PlayStation 3 releases on the market… unless sales surprise even their expectations and tens of thousands of copies are sold.

The PlayStation 3 edition will include a few new features that were not incorporated into the original PlayStation Portable release. These include weather effects like snow and rain, new music, new boss monsters and a brand new 10 level – 10 boss Challenge Labyrinth. For a review of the original, click HERE.

As of this post the publisher has accumulated just under 1,000 pledges.
