Activision Australia and developers ZeptoLab / FUN Labs have announced that Cut the Rope: Triple Threat, based on their mobile gaming series “Cut the Rope” will be launching on video game consoles for the first time from tomorrow exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS. This collection will bundle over 650 levels from the physics-based puzzle game franchise, in addition to a few new additions that they would more or less be obligated to add with this release.

This compilation includes the content from the original mobile version in addition to all the content from its two major expansions “Cut the Rope: Experiments” and “Cut the Rope: Time Travel”. This edition in particular has also been altered to work better with the 3DS stylus and the stereoscopic 3D that they claim “gives its colourful cartoons charming depth”. Other features include online leaderboards, achievements and animated Om Nom stories.

On the plus side, while mobile to console ports will inevitably be pricier, it won’t break the wallet as much as Activision’s earlier published ports in the Angry Birds franchise. Currently this edition will be marketing at a recommended retail price of $29.95 AUD.
