Nintendo have confirmed that after a considerable delay, the Pokemon Bank / Poke’ Transporter service is now available to download through the Nintendo eShop for everyone who is willing to link their Nintendo Network ID to their Nintendo 3DS console. (Update: Apparently this only covers PAL Regions and Asia at the present time. Thanks for raichu-keaton1411 and Gin for confirming this information)
This duo of services will allow players to deposit, store and manage their Pokemon in private boxes on the internet for a minimal annual fee, and then transport them between games. As a bonus perk, everyone who downloads the tools will be given a complementary Celebi for use in Pokemon X / Y and any later installments in the series.
Downloading the software between now and the 14th March 2014 will net you a complementary 30-day trial pass to experience the service at no charge… or at least get access to your bonus Legendary Pokemon. Unfortunately as someone who requires the use of multiple regions on the Nintendo eShop and therefore can’t link their Nintendo Network ID to their console, I won’t be able to comment any further on the functionality of Pokemon Bank.
It’s not available worldwide yet. Just the PAL regions and Asia.
It;s not worldwide yet….
@raichukeaton1411:disqus / Gin – Thanks for confirming! The post has been updated to reflect this.
Oh how I wish it was worldwide though, no matter it will be soon ^_^
