Japanese video game developer Compile Heart have recently updated their official website for Moero Chronicle, and with this update chose to introduce a large number of human and (mostly) Monster Girl characters who you will meet in the game.

While I invite you to check out the website to hear voice samples for the characters, scroll down for localized profiles for each character:

Io

The main human player character of Moero Chronicle and pretty much considered an average, mundane person. Rather than willingly going to save the world like many protagonists in RPG’s, Io was forced to by the village elders to go on the journey. Despite being timid, cowardly and gullible, his heart is in the right place.

Lilia

The female heroine of the game and a Fenrir Monster Girl, and one of the few that Io can normally speak with. With her caring nature and good-natured temperament, she serves as a solid ally during Io’s quest. Her weakness however is love.

Leche

A nekomata monster girl who initially expresses hostility towards humans until being rescued by Io and Lilia. After their actions, Leche decides to join them on their adventure. While quiet and easygoing, she enjoys spending time and getting along with her travelling companions

Otton

A returning character from Monster Monpiece. Otton is a seal-like creature with a very manly voice however prides himself on his adorable appearance that he uses to get pampered by girls. However despite looking innocent, he is very perverted and on a mission to collect the panties of the different Monster Girls around the world. He seizes the opportunity to join Io on his quest for this very reason.

Koko

A mysterious monster girl of unknown origin who seeks to find out the reasoning behind the hostility of her kind towards humans and to calm the legendary monster girl. Despite being elegant and cute, she can at times be a little bratty.

Rate

A monster fairy girl who is the leader of the first region in Monster Girl territory. Despite her cute appearance and playful nature, she does have a serious side. Given her age, she also speaks more maturely than she might first let on.

c6_img

Calypso

A sahagin (or aquatic beastman) Monster Girl who serves as the leader of the second Monster Girl inhabited area of Monsutopia. A quiet Monster Girl who does everything at her own pace, however has a dislike for males.

Typica

Typica is a Mandagora Monster Girl who serves as the leader of the third region in Monsutopia. Often the mediator between characters with an attentive nature. However she is often not treated like a girl and wishes to become more popular.

Airi

Airi is a Medusa Monster Girl who stands as the leader of the fourth region. Has continued to build herself up a queen-like image, however is concerned that this is far from her true personality. Despite being a little vain and prideful, she is a hard worker. Given her more mature appearance, Otton often calls her an “Old Hag”, much to her ire.

Moka

Moka is a succubus-type Monster Girl and one of the two guardians of the fifth region of Monsutopia. Despite not being the sharpest tool in the shed, she is cheerful and talkative. She is always together with her partner Matari whom she admires, and is relatively dependent on her despite initial indications being that she is the leader of the duo.

c10_img

Matari

The second half of the fifth region gatekeeping duo. Matari is a Golem Monster Girl who also shares the sister-like relationship with Moka. Her personality is the opposite to her partner however, being quiet, blunt and tending to go with the flow rather than doing what she wants.

Ranju

Ranju is the leader of the sixth region in Monsutopia and is a Snow Woman (Yuki-onna) Monster Girl. While this can all change if someone manages to piss her off, she usually has an elegant, merciful and kind-natued personality. She has the highest intelligence out of all the characters, and has the ability to pull everyone together should a situation arise. Has a proficiency at baking sweets.

While no international release date has been announced by Idea Factory International or any other international video game publisher, Moero Chronicle is set for release on the PlayStation Vita within Japan from the 24th April 2014.
