While its PlayStation 4 release date has yet to be determined, Young Horses have announced that Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be available for purchase on the PC, Mac and Linux OS platforms from the 30th January 2014 via Steam, Humble and GOG online stores.
A sequel to their free 2010 release Octodad, Dadliest Catch sees the “cephaloprotagonist” caught between his wife’s mounting distrust about his “human” origins and a trip to the local acquarium – not aided by the fact that the Sushi Chef is once again working towards ousting him as an octopus. As with the previous installment, you can expect to see a similar control system, combining Octodad’s lack of limbs with his attempts at doing human actions.
Octodad starred in my second installment of “Sam’s Quest for Something Different” last year.
