It has been quite a while since we last saw a publisher release a classic PS One import title on the PlayStation Network, and the issue with several of them before were that unless you understood Japanese you might end up with a nearly unplayable game. While it is too early too tell if this worst-case scenario will occur for any of these titles, video game publisher MonkeyPaw Games (Class of Heroes II etc.) have announced that they will be releasing six such titles between the 14th January 2014 and the 18th February 2014, one each week.
The publisher has described this collection of six games in “The Retro Rush” as being “some of the most exciting games MonkeyPaw has uncovered to date and run the gamut of genres including Fighting, Action, Platforming and Fire Fighting RPG“. Whats up for grabs?
- 14th January – Double Dragon
- 21st January – Lucifer Ring
- 28th January  – The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny
- 4th February – Hyper Crazy Climber
- 11th February – Wolf Fang
- 18th February – Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return
The first five titles will be available via the PlayStation Network for the PS3, PS Vita and PSP at a retail cost of $5.99, while Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return will be available at a slightly higher price of $9.99.
