It was announced by MonkeyPaw Games yesterday that as part of their “Retro Rush” campaign, they would be releasing six imported PlayStation One classic titles via the PlayStation Store over the next six weeks. The first one is now available to digitally purchase via the store, with the publisher confirming the release of Double Dragon for a price of $5.99. It is available under the “PS One Classics” section of the store, and supported on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable devices.
Described as a “rare fighting game classic”, the publisher have promoted the following features in this release:
- A rare fighting game classic based on the Double Dragon franchise returns via the PlayStation®Network
- Unique fighting gameplay with character transformations and a position-based approach to combat
- 10 selectable fighters with two hidden boss characters
- 1 or 2-player modes (local only)
