Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc – New “Gameplay Concepts” Trailer

-

With their release of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc to be released on the PlayStation Vita in the first half of next month, Nippon Ichi Software America have opted to release a brand new three minute trailer for the game which highlights some of the gameplay concepts such as the “Class Trial” system, navigation around the campus and some of the…. unique punishments that await students that are caught committing murder.

Originally developed by Spike Chunsoft, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a PlayStation Vita port of “Danganronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair” that was released on the PlayStation Portable exclusively in Japan. It also has a sequel which has not yet been released in English, and recently was subjected to an anime adaptation which has since been licensed in many regions around the world including North America (By Funimation Entertainment) and Australia (By Madman Entertainment). It is set for release on the 11th February 2014 in North America and a few days later on the 14th February 2014 in PAL regions.

Hope’s Peak Academy is home to Japan’s best and brightest high school students—the beacons of hope for the future. But that hope suddenly dies when Makoto Naegi and his classmates find themselves imprisoned in the school, cut off from the outside world and subject to the whims of a strange, murderous little bear named Monokuma. He pits the students against each other, promising freedom to anyone who can murder a fellow classmate and get away with it. It’s up to you to find out who Monokuma really is, and why you’ve been taken from the world you once knew. But be careful what you wish for—sometimes there’s nothing more deadly than the truth…
