Ubisoft and their Blue Byte studio have this morning announced a special Christmas event for The Settlers Online. Starting from today, players will find that snow has invaded their islands and Santa accidentally littered it with presents. Your job is not to horde and open these presents, but rather collect them and subsequently trade them in for special Christmas items.
Santa Claus himself will lead you through a seasonal quest chain comprised of eight missions. This is in addition to lollies spawning all over the island and daily quests.
For the first time, players can discover an exclusive Christmas Surprise accessible via a button beside the avatar image. It will offer users the option of opening a door each day to receive a special reward. And the cherry on top will be a new Provision House, providing new buffs and re-fillers.
