As has been known for a number of months now, Nippon Ichi Software will not be requiring fans to repurchase DLC content for Disgaea 4 Return on the Playstation Vita, instead including it all complementary with purchase. The developer / publisher reaffirmed this with their latest screenshot batch by highlighting some of the DLC characters, chapters and other goodies you will have access to as you progressively unlock it through the game.
As a new inclusion, if you have save data for Disgaea 3 Return (Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention) stored on your Playstation Vita device, both Rutile and Stella Grossular will return as playable party members. Both of these characters were exclusive to Disgaea 3 Return and not unlockable at any time during Disgaea 4’s original Playstation 3 release.
Disgaea 4 Return is set for release in Japan on the 30th January 2014. No international release date has currently been confirmed.
