In the last year or two, many would equate nDreams as being one of the big boys in the market of the Playstation Home service on the Playstation 3 that seems to maintain a stable user base but has not yet been confirmed for a Playstation 4 port. The developer recently released their Stakeholder Newsletter for December 2013, which details that there may be much more in store from them in the new year.

1.0 – Playstation 4 Game

In this newsletter, CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh confirmed that they are working on a new title for the Playstation 4 which is set to launch at an unspecified date during the year. He describes it as the “most ambitious game” they have ever created, but are saving the formal announcement and details until next year.

2.0 – VR Using Occulus Rift

Pictured above is a scene from one of nDreams Oculus Rife prototypes. Describing virtual reality as a field of technology that they “believe will finally come of age in 2014”, they have and are committing a great deal of time and money into it.

We’ve been playing around with VR for six months now (we’ve created more than 20 different experiments and prototypes), and we hope that foundation will serve us well in 2014.

3.0 – Continued Support of the Playstation Home Service

nDreams have committed themselves to supporting the Playstation Home service despite no plans announced by Sony Computer Entertainment to port or re-develop it for the Playstation 4. They describe PS Home as being a “special places for nDreams over the last six years” and are expecting 2014 to be their biggest yet. 14 million visits have been made to their Aurora virtual space, with several new updates planned for it.

4.0 – Mobile Games

nDreams have plans for three new mobile / tablet games, with more information set to be announced in the coming months.
