Cyberfront Committed to Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss – But That’s Currently All

Some saddening news came out of Japan a few weeks ago when Japanese publisher Cyberfront announced that the were closing their doors – leaving a potential line-up of western and Japanese titles with no stable release plans. One particular title of concern was Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss for the Playstation Vita, which developer Experience had completed development for and was set for release in late-January 2014.

While they have scrapped the release date for this game, it has today been confirmed that Tokyo New World Record will still be released in the region. There is currently no word on an English localization of the game, and it is unknown if recent events will render a localization more challenging to organize.

The fate of other titles handled by Cyberfront in the Japanese market is still unknown.
