Christmas is upon as, and with both of their major competitors launching new consoles just in time for the holiday rush, Nintendo of Australia have decided they need to compete. While I do implore you to check out if you can get these titles cheaper from anywhere else as their original releases (As games can decrease in value quite rapidly), Nintendo of Australia have announced that an array of their best selling Wii titles will be re-released as Nintendo Selects editions. These titles emphasize the choice of fun gameplay experiences that they want people to get out of the Wii platform – and will each be priced at $49.95 AUD.
The five titles to be released on the 7th November 2013 will be:
- Mario Kart Wii (Minus the Steering Wheel)
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort
They have really gone into the classics with this one, but given the Wii is now a generation behind in terms of Nintendo consoles, it surprises me they didn’t tack on a few bonuses with some of the other titles such as the Steering Wheel with Mario Kart Wii or a double feature of Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2.
