Aside from the repetitiveness of the songs included in the release and the logic behind putting many of the great Final Fantasy songs through the ages behind a DLC pay wall, last years release of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy was pretty enjoyable and was something nice and simple to celebrate the series’ quarter-century anniversary.
However it seems like Square Enix aren’t done yet, with the company recently confirming that a sequel is in the works. Titled Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, this 3DS exclusive title is set for release in Spring-2014 within Japan and bring over 200 songs and more than 60 characters into the mix. While we have recently had a sample tracklist for the game released and a tiny set of screenshots, to mark the currently on-going Tokyo Game Show we have been granted our first real look at the game through a trailer.
