Plastic Wax Walks Away With Several Honours at Australian Effects and Animation Festival 2013

Plastic Wax, a Sydney based animation firm who have been behind the production of pre-rendered and in-engine content for video games and film have recently taken out several awards at the 2013 Australian Effects and Animation Festival (AEAF).

This year, Plastic Wax took out a ‘Gold’ award in the category of Game Cinematics for their work in Disney’s Epic Mickey, a sample of which is available at the top of this post. The studio also walked away with a ‘Silver’ award in the TV Titles and Openers category for their role in producing the opening sequence for this years NRL on Channel Nine.

The AEAF awards do an incredible job of highlighting the amazing talent within the Australian visual effects and animation industry. It’s an absolute privilege not only to be amongst our industry peers’ best work, but also taking out awards for some of the main categories is an honour we’re extremely proud of.

The company have had their hands in other video gaming brands such as Bioshock, Transformers, Fallout, Civilization V and Neverwinter.
