Especially since we are only just out of Winter and the nights can still be a tad nippy, I have never really seen the purpose of midnight launches when I could have an early night, wake up early and then spend the entire day playing it (Rather than the outcome of my last midnight launch – freeze, buy game, get home, start up the game and then fall asleep at the title screen – although to be fair that is just me).
However if you are a midnight enthusiast then you are in luck, as Electronic Arts have plans to hold one at Hoyts Wetherill Park, New South Wales the evening before FIFA 14 launches. Starting at 6PM on the 25th September 2013, they will be providing food, drink and entertainment throughout the night.
Hosted by EA Sports, EB Games and Hoyts Cinemas, the celebration of the upcoming title will give fans hands on time with the game, the opportunity to meet players from the Western Sydney Wanderers FC and the chance to watch the FIFA pros compete for a spot in the EA Sports National FIFA 14 Championships. The best FIFA players in Sydney will be shooting, striking and scoring for a place in the national finals, taking place at the EB Expo in Homebush between October 4th – 6th.
Currently Electronic Arts have only confirmed plans for the one event.
