It was announced the other day that after bids from 20 company’s, ATLUS’ parent company Index Corporation was acquired by Sega Sammy with some having concerns about what that means for the Megami Tensei series developer. On their official website, Naoto Hiraoka, head of consumer software at ATLUS and also the President and CEO of ATLUS USA issued a response to fans claiming that business will be as usual.

The ATLUS brand will become part of Sega Sammy, specifically their Sega Dream Corporation wing. However despite this division will still remain dedicated to developing titles for release in the future and cites previous good relations with Sega before the events.

Of course ATLUS may very well be sitting on the announcement to alleviate all doubts even if it is unlikely that they will announce it at this week’s Tokyo Game Show festivities…. Persona 5.
