Following the success of the mobile Puzzle & Dragons game, GungHo Online Entertainment announced earlier this year that they would be working on a portable video game console adaptation titled Puzzle & Dragon Z. Available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, its current Japanese release date has been confirmed as the 12th December 2013. An international release date is still unknown.
In addition to this announcement, the games opening sequence was unveiled. Drawing away from its mobile roots, Puzzle & Dragons Z features an actual protagonist and associated journey as he or she goes up as a Dragon Tamer against an evil organization known as Paradox.
