In an action that fans have come to expect from Namco Bandai, in the lead up to the announcement of the next “Tales” game the company have been acquiring trademarks for a number of different titles. As mentioned in my earlier article “Namco Bandai Seem to Be Pulling the Ol’ “Trademark Many Potential Titles” Trick for Next Tales Game” the company have already acquired trademarks for “Tales of Zestoria”, “Tales of Creales” and “Tales of Catastora”. Turns out that two more trademarks have just been uncovered.
It has been confirmed that Namco Bandai have also trademarked the names “Tales of Zestiria” and “Tales of Zestias”. Given similarities been at least three of the five now unveiled names, it is quite possible to expect the next game to contain Zest- in its title. Of course this could also be nothing but a red herring.
Keep an eye out for future developments and hopefully a formal announcement.
