Ever Wanted To Run Your Own Sentai Studio? Chroma Squad Just Passes Target Goal on Kickstarter

-

I have seen and played many “management” style games over the years, from running theme parks to ski resorts. However I must admit this latest project from Brazil-based indie studio “Behold Studio” may take the cake as being the most unique.

Chroma Squad: Indie Sentai Studio is based on the idea behind the 90’s Tokusatsu TV series like the Power Rangers or one of the series I really did grow up watching… “Captain Planet and the Planeteers”. Riddled with references from these series Chroma squad is about a group of stuntmen that decide to make their own sentai TV studio with you as their manager. Amongst hiring actors, purchasing cameras and making your show the best it possibly could be… the game comes with the ability to record episodes and comes with a mix of tactical turn-based battles and dialogue.

Fortunately there is no question that this game is happening, as with 18 days to go of the usual 30 day campaign they have reached $56,630 out of their targeted $55,000 goal. A digital copy of the game comes in at just $15 pledge mark and goes up to the $2,000 which comes with a number of additional goodies.

The management sim genre is one that has had the same idea remade and rehashed time and time again. Chroma Squad on the other hand delivers something unique and I am eager to get my hands on a copy upon launch! Let’s hope it holds up to the high expectations I have now set for it.

Check out the Kickstarter campaign for more information on the game or to pledge and help achieve the $80,000 and $110,000 stretch goals.
