With Time and Eternity now done and dusted, Nippon Ichi Software America have begun promotion for the very next title on their release slate – Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness which is set to be a chronological sequel to the very first title in the series Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the Playstation 2 and later Nintendo DS and Playstation Portable.

To start off the promotions, they have lowered the cover off the games release date which is set to appear in retailers within PAL regions on the 27th September 2013 and surprisingly a little later in North America on the 8th October 2013. As for Australia, release dates fluctuate a bit but Time and Eternity was released almost simultaneously with Europe so I would guess the 27th September release date would also cover this region.

About the Game

The Netherworld – a place where might makes right and today’s friends are tomorrow’s enemies. After a long journey with many ups and downs, Laharl finally finds himself as a full-fledged Overlord. However, the other denizens of the Netherworld do not see him as such, so he sets out on a journey with his loyal(!?) vassals to receive the respect he deserves. Along the way, Laharlwill meet a girl who claims to be his sister, demons with bigger than usual chips on their shoulders, and find out that even his own body holds a few surprises for him…
